The Detroit Pistons center currently leads the NBA in rebounding by a comfortable margin with 15.2 per game. Drummond is also averaging 17.3 points on 51.8 percent shooting.

At 5-foot-9, Thomas becomes the shortest All-Star since Calvin Murphy in 1979. The runner-up for NBA Sixth Man of the Year last season, Thomas has moved into the starting lineup for the 26-21 Celtics to run their offense, leading the team in both scoring (21.6) and assists (6.6).

Fans didn't show Paul Millsap of the Atlanta Hawks much love in the voting department, as the 30-year-old veteran finished 15th for the East's frontcourt. Nonetheless, Millsap is putting up the best numbers of his 10-year career for the third-best team in the conference, averaging a near double-double of 18.3 points and 8.9 rebounds.

DeMar DeRozan will join Raptors teammate Kyle Lowry - an All-Star starter - in the East's backcourt in front of their hometown Toronto crowd. They'll be the first pair of guards since Jerry West and Gail Goodrich in 1972 to play an All-Star Game in their host city, according to ESPN Stats and Info.

The Washington Wizards have struggled to put wins on the board with a number of their players battling injury. John Wall has been a model of consistency through these troubling times, though, earning himself Player of the Month honors in December for his strong play.

Chris Bosh returns to the arena where he played the first seven years of his career with the Raptors. This will be his 11th All-Star appearance, having made the roster every year since 2006.

The Chicago Bulls have officially become Jimmy Butler's team, with the Marquette product ranking fifth in the league in scoring in January at 24.9 per game, highlighted by a 53-point outing in a win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Jan. 14.

Along with Lowry, Paul George, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, and LeBron James were also voted in as starters for the East last week.
