Brandon Knight: To miss next four games

Knight (groin) has been ruled out for the entirety of the Suns' upcoming four-game road trip that begins Tuesday against the 76ers, Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Analysis:

Knight has been hampered by the groin strain since New Year's Eve, and he's missed both of the last two games after aggravating the injury during Tuesday's loss to Indiana. The 24-year-old received a second opinion in Los Angeles on Friday, and he said he was "definitely encouraged" by the visit and believes he'll be able to avoid surgery. Knight will remain in Phoenix while the team hits the road, and the earliest he could be back on the court is next Tuesday (Feb. 2), when the Suns return home to host the Raptors. With Eric Bledsoe (knee) done for the season and Ronnie Price (toe surgery) out until February, the Suns will rely on young guards Archie Goodwin and Devin Booker to pick up the slack in the backcourt. Lorenzo Brown is also an option, though his second 10-day contract is set to expire Wednesday.
