VIDEOS: Josh Smith delivers on both ends in 2nd game back with Rockets
It's best to forget Josh Smith's first outing of the season wearing Rockets colors after being traded by the Los Angeles Clippers, as his second is a better indication as to why Houston elected to bring him back in the first place.
After putting up two points on 1-of-10 shooting in a win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday, Smith followed up his meager performance with a tremendous showing against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday afternoon.
Late in the third quarter, "J-Smoove" left Dwight Powell in the dust by driving baseline on the Canadian sophomore for the thunderous slam:
Smith followed up his highlight-reel jam minutes later with some quality defense on the other end of the floor, stuffing Powell's dunk attempt off the backboard:
He finished with a season-high 16 points, shooting 6-of-14 from the field and 2-of-6 from deep, as Houston won its second game in a row with a 115-104 victory over Dallas.
