Dwight Howard: Will not play Sunday

Howard (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup with the Mavericks, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

As expected, Howard will remain sidelined Sunday, as he continues to work his way back from an ankle injury. Previous reports indicated Howard could still be a few days away from a return, so his status for Monday's game against the Pelicans also seems to be in doubt. With that in mind, look for the likes of Clint Capela, Terrence Jones and Trevor Ariza to see some extra minutes in his absence.
