Brandon Knight: Set for second opinion on groin

Knight underwent a second opinion on his strained groin in Los Angeles on Saturday, Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic reports. "Based on me getting more information from other eyes and ears on the situation, I'm definitely encouraged about doing what is best," Knight said.

Analysis:

Knight missed his second game in a row Saturday against the Hawks while getting more information about his ailing groin, which has been bothering him from more than three weeks. Because the Suns were already down Eric Bledsoe (knee) and Ronnie Price (foot) for extended periods of time, Knight opted to log heavy minutes and play through the injury, but after aggravating the injury last Tuesday against the Pacers while attempting to dunk, he decided it was best to take some time off. The Suns haven't outlined a formal timeline for when Knight may be able to take the court again, so while he's technically remain questionable heading into Tuesday's game against the 76ers, it might be risky for those who own him in weekly leagues to keep him active. Archie Goodwin would continue to start at point guard until Knight is deemed ready to go.
