Cole will move into the starting lineup Thursday against Detroit, John Reid of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Analysis:

In the wake of Eric Gordon's finger injury, there had been some indication that Jrue Holiday and Tyreke Evans would be the Pelicans' starting backcourt tandem. However, Cole will draw into the lineup Thursday in place of Holiday. He'll be going against a Detroit team that is middle of the pack in terms of limiting opposing point guards, giving up an average of 40.0 fantasy points per game.
