Analysis:

Batum returned last week from a four-game absence due to a right toe sprain, so it sounds very likely that he suffered an aggravation of some sort Wednesday. He contributed no points (0-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt), six rebounds, and three assists in 24 minutes before departing, marking the fourth time in six games that he's failed to crack double digits in the scoring column. The Hornets should have a better indication on the extent of Batum's setback by Friday morning, at which point they'd likely make a ruling on his status for the game later that evening against the Magic.
