Eric Gordon: Out indefinitely with broken finger

Gordon fractured his right ring finger Tuesday against the Timberwolves and there is no timetable for his return, NBA.com's Jim Eichenhofer reports.

Analysis:

It was initially thought to be a jammed finger, but now the diagnosis suggests Gordon will miss at least several games. In order to cover for Gordon's absence, the Pelicans could opt to move Tyreke Evans over from point guard to shooting guard, which would open up more time at the point for Jrue Holiday and Norris Cole. Look for Gordon's timetable to be updated later this week.
