Wizards' Beal sidelined vs. Raptors with broken nose, concussion

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Bradley Beal just can't seem to find a way to stay in the Washington Wizards' lineup.

The oft-injured shooting guard was sidelined for Tuesday's game in Toronto due to a broken nose and concussion, marking the third time this season he was kept out of action against the Raptors.

Beal, who returned to the lineup two weeks ago after missing a month of action with a stress reaction in his right fibula, left Monday's home loss to the Boston Celtics after taking a Marcus Smart elbow to the face, which left him bloodied.

The 22-year-old is averaging a career-high 18.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, three assists, and a steal on an effective field-goal percentage of 51.5 in 22 appearances for the Wizards this season.

Beal has dealt with a litany of injuries over his three-and-a-half-year career, with Tuesday marking the 75th game he's missed since the Wizards selected him No. 3 overall in the 2012 NBA draft.
