Nicolas Batum will miss his third consecutive game Monday night when the Charlotte Hornets take on the Sacramento Kings.

Batum continues to deal with a toe injury and was spotted during Friday's contest against the New York Knicks wearing a walking boot. The Hornets are fighting to remain in playoff contention with a raft of injuries to key players, including Batum, Al Jefferson, Jeremy Lamb, Cody Zeller, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

In their absence, responsibility has fallen on the shoulders of Kemba Walker, who was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week on Monday after averaging just under 35 points in four games last week.

Batum, who missed four contests earlier this month with a similar toe issue, is second on the team in scoring at 15.1 points per contest. Charlotte has been starting two-point guard sets with Jeremy Lin and Walker in his stead.
