Gortat (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's matchup with the Bucks, Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post reports.

Analysis:

Gortat is battling an infection in his left knee, and after missing shootaround Wednesday morning, the team has made the call to rule him out. Nene Hilario is expected to pick up a second straight start in Gortat's absence. Though Gortat was hospitalized Tuesday, the infection isn't believed to be anything that will keep him out long term, so he could be available as soon as Friday's game against the Pacers.
