As of yet, the Pacers have provided no explanation for Ellis' absence, so it seems likely that he was just receiving some rest in advance of Tuesday's matchup with the Suns. Ellis has seen his playing time pick up in recent games, and has shown improved production as a result. Over his last 10 games, Ellis is averaging 16.6 points (on 45.1% shooting), 6.3 assists, 2.8 boards, 1.6 steals, and 1.3 three-pointers, almost all of which match or surpass his season-long marks.
