As expected, Joakim Noah will return to the Chicago Bulls' rotation Monday against the Washington Wizards. The center missed nine games with a slight tear in his left shoulder, and will not be on a minutes restriction, according to coach Fred Hoiberg.

Noah has played 24 of 25 games this season off the bench, with Hoiberg usually starting a front line of Nikola Mirotic and Pau Gasol. He's hitting career lows in field goal percentage (40.7) and scoring (4.5 points per game), with the Bulls' overall performance improving in his absence - along with an increase in minutes for rookie Bobby Portis. Still, the case can be made that Noah remains the defensive anchor of the second unit.

Noah turns 31 next month and is an unrestricted free agent this coming summer.
