Dwyane Wade did not play Wednesday when the Miami Heat visited the Washington Wizards due to shoulder soreness.

Wade sat out Friday with soreness to both shoulders, and the Heat's decision to rest him in Washington comes on the second night of a back-to-back. He played 21 minutes Tuesday against the Milwaukee Bucks, scoring a season-low two points on 1-of-6 shooting.

"He's been powering through these shoulder issues through the road trip and they haven't been getting better," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said Friday. "All things considered, these are things we can treat."

The 34-year-old is shooting a career-low 45.5 percent in his 13th NBA season. The Heat have played nine of their last 15 games on the road.
