Spurs without Tony Parker Wednesday vs. Jazz

Erich Schlegel-USA TODAY Sports

Tony Parker will not play Wednesday when the San Antonio Spurs host the Utah Jazz.

The veteran point guard is dealing with a sore right hip and will sit out his second game in a row. Prior to that, the 33-year-old had only missed one other game this season.

Parker has quieted concerns about a perceived decline in his play this season, shooting and passing the ball more efficiently than he did in an injury-plagued campaign a year ago. Parker is hitting 53.1 percent of his shots from the field, and 46.4 percent from deep, while averaging 12.4 points and 5.2 assists.

With Parker sidelined, Patty Mills tied a season-high with 28 minutes played in Monday's win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
