Pacers' Miles injures shoulder in OT loss to Heat

Brian Spurlock / USA TODAY Sports

Indiana Pacers small forward C.J. Miles was forced to leave Monday night's game against the Miami Heat due to a shoulder injury, according to Candace Buckner of the Indianapolis Star.

Miles walked off the floor grabbing his shoulder during the first quarter.

He's having a career year in his second season with Indiana, posting highs in points per game (14.5), minutes per game (27.6), and 3-point percentage (.395).

If Miles misses time, the Pacers will need to find a way to make up for his scoring. Monta Ellis - who has a career scoring average of 19 points per game - is a likely candidate to take on the extra load.
