Hornets' Hawes ruled out against Thunder

Charlotte Hornets power forward Spencer Hawes, in what was expected to be his first contest back from a four-game absence due to back tightness, was ruled out in the third quarter Saturday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The seven-footer had had been listed as available for the game, but the team announced that he would not play.
