The Dallas Mavericks came away triumphant after an epic battle against the relentless Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.

Despite a seven-point lead with just over one minute remaining in the game's second overtime period, the Kings could not stop the two-headed monster that was Deron Williams and Dirk Nowitzki down the stretch.

Although Nowitzki was his usual invaluable self with 23 points, and Wesley Matthews chipped in with 20 points of his own, it was Williams who had the ball in his hands with 1.5 seconds remaining in the heated Western Conference contest.

D-Will's corner trey ensured there wouldn't be a third overtime.

Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins did everything in his power to propel his squad to its third straight win. He recorded a triple-double of the worst kind - 35 points, 17 rebounds, and 10 turnovers - as a victory surely would have negated such an unenviable statistical accomplishment.

Cousins - who was responsible for sending the game into its first overtime - also had six steals to round out his highly-productive performance.

Rudy Gay had 31 points and five boards for the Kings whose record now sits at 14-21.
