The Charlotte Hornets will be without Spencer Hawes for a second consecutive game Monday night when they play host to Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Hawes will be sidelined once again as he deals with lower back tightness, head coach Steve Clifford confirmed.

The nine-year veteran didn't play against the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, although the Hornets still managed to pull out a 98-92 victory to end their three-game losing streak.

In 27 appearances, Hawes is averaging 5.7 points and 3.7 rebounds on 42.9 percent shooting from the field and 38.6 percent from 3-point range.
