Paul Pierce sidelined vs. Thunder with sore back

The Los Angeles Clippers will have one less body to throw at Kevin Durant with "The Truth" out of the lineup.

Veteran Paul Pierce won't suit up against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night at Staples Center due to a sore back.

Currently playing in his 18th season in the league, the 38-year-old has seen his role and all-around numbers plummet as a reserve, as he is averaging 4.1 points and 2.3 rebounds on 31.3 percent shooting in 16.3 minutes per game.

In fact, it was back on Nov. 19 against the Golden State Warriors when Pierce last played over 20 minutes in a game.
