Bucks without 2 point guards vs. Clippers

Chris Humphreys / USA TODAY Sports

The Milwaukee Bucks need a big performance from Michael Carter-Williams on Wednesday, as neither of his backups will play against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Guards Greivis Vasquez and Jerryd Bayless will both be sidelined with sprained left ankles, reports C.F. Gardner of the Journal Sentinel.

Vasquez has gotten off to a slow start since being acquired for a first-round pick from the Toronto Raptors last summer. Vasquez has lost the range on his jumper and is turning the ball over significantly more than last season. His playmaking remains an asset, but he gives most of that back on defense.

Bayless, meanwhile, has been surprisingly effective this season. He's shooting 43.6 percent from deep and he's averaging 11.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. He's even drawn the start in his last three games.
