Celtics' David Lee, R.J. Hunter out vs. Pelicans

Mark L. Baer-USA TODAY Sports

Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens enjoys having a deep rotation at his disposal, with 12 players participating in at least 13 games this season.

However, Stevens will be without that luxury Monday night versus the New Orleans Pelicans, as two Celtics have been ruled out with injuries.

David Lee and R.J. Hunter will miss tonight's game, according to MassLive's Jay King.

Lee will continue to sit after suffering a right heel injury in Mexico City versus the Sacramento Kings. The 6-foot-9 power forward is averaging 6.6 points and four rebounds per game, while shooting 51 percent from the floor.

Hunter is still adjusting to his first NBA season, posting just 3.1 points per game and making 37 percent of his shots. He is out with a hip flexor strain.

The Celtics are currently tied for ninth in the Eastern Conference, sitting just 0.5 games back of a playoff spot.
