Clippers' Redick, Paul out vs. Magic

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Clippers will once again be without their starting backcourt of J.J. Redick and Chris Paul when they take on the Orlando Magic on Saturday.

As Dan Woike of the OC County Register reports, both Redick and Paul will be out due to injury. Redick continues to miss time with a sprained ankle, while Paul is dealing with an inflamed rib.

The Clippers have largely struggled coming out of the gate. They sit at just 10-9 on the season, and boast a point differential of plus-0.9 - a far cry from last year's mark of plus-6.6.

Injuries to their backcourt have not helped their cause. Paul missed time with a groin pull, while Redick was out with back spasms. Those injuries, coupled with the continued struggles from their much-maligned bench unit, have doomed the Clippers early on.

Austin Rivers and Jamal Crawford will draw the starting assignments, while Luc Mbah a Moute continues to get the nod at small forward.
