Free-agent big man Carlos Boozer met with Milwaukee Bucks general manager John Hammond and head coach Jason Kidd this week regarding a potential deal to join the team, according to Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania.

The 34-year-old Boozer played 71 games with the Los Angeles Lakers last year and is on the record saying he wants to come back to play this season.

The Bucks are thought to be in the market for some veteran presence on their roster. Kidd admonished some of his players Wednesday for off-court activities, while another report has Milwaukee interested in trading for 14-year NBA veteran and Wisconsin native Caron Butler.

The Bucks have also been without starting center Greg Monroe for the past two games due to a knee issue.

Boozer is several years removed from his All-Star-caliber playing days, but he shot just under 50 percent from the floor last season with the Lakers and possesses a career defensive rebounding percentage of 26.6.

"I've decided that I'm going to keep at this NBA thing for a few more years," Boozer wrote in a post for The Players' Tribune in November.
