Detroit Pistons point guard Reggie Jackson was fined $25,000 by the league on Monday for directing inappropriate language at a fan.

The incident occurred last Sunday against the Oklahoma City Thunder. His interaction with the heckler can be seen below.

After the game, Jackson told the Detroit Free Press that fans can be unreasonable.

"The fans is reckless; the fans really think … half the time we feel like a caged animal and they can say whatever they want to you. That junk is reckless," he said.

Jackson's return to Oklahoma City, where he ended his four-year tenure on frosty terms, certainly made for an emotional atmosphere. Jackson said prior to the game that he expected hostility from the home crowd, and true to form, he heard from both the fans and Russell Westbrook himself.

All things considered, Jackson's in a better situation in Detroit. Not only does he have the starting spot he couldn't have behind Westbrook, he's flourishing to the tune of 19.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game this season.
