Suns' Bledsoe seals victory over Raptors with late-game block

The Toronto Raptors couldn't catch lightning in a bottle on back-to-back nights, thanks in large part to the efforts of one Eric Bledsoe.

With the Raptors scrambling to get up a shot to tie the score at 105 late in the fourth quarter on Sunday, the Phoenix Suns point guard ensured victory for his squad by swatting away Luis Scola's potential game-tying 3-pointer with just seconds remaining.

Phoenix ended its four-game losing streak to move to 8-9 on the season, winning 107-102 at the Air Canada Centre. In the process, the Raptors had their four-game winning streak broken, dropping their first game in a little under two weeks.

Bledsoe led the way for the Suns with a double-double of 20 points and 11 assists in 38 minutes of action. He was helped by major contributions from the second unit, with T.J. Warren (15 points and 11 rebounds), Jon Leuer (16 points), and Mirza Teletovic (20 points and six 3-pointers) combining to outscore the Raptors' bench 51-25.

The Raptors got strong efforts from the starting backcourt of All-Star Kyle Lowry (17 points, eight rebounds, and five assists) and DeMar DeRozan (game-high 29 points and seven assists), as well as former Atlanta Hawk DeMarre Carroll (20 points).

The Suns will look to string together consecutive wins for the first time since Nov. 16 on Tuesday night against Brook Lopez and the Brooklyn Nets. Toronto will have two full days off before taking on the Hawks at Philips Arena on Wednesday.
