Timberwolves' Bjelica expected to play vs. Clippers

Brian Spurlock / USA TODAY Sports

Minnesota Timberwolves power forward Nemanja Bjelica is expected to play against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, according to 1500 ESPN's Darren Wolfson.

The 6-foot-10 big man has missed the Wolves' last four games due to a left knee contusion.

Surprisingly, the Wolves boast the same record through 16 games (8-8) as their perennial playoff-contending opponent.

While the struggling Clippers are still recovering from a recent three-game losing streak, the Wolves are hoping to build on their three consecutive wins heading into Sunday's contest.

Bjelica's 7.3 points, six rebounds, 2.2 assists and ability to stretch the floor with his 35.6 percent three-point shooting clip will be welcomed back to the Wolves' lineup with open arms, as the team wraps a successful month of November at the Staples Center.
