Wizards without Gary Neal against Raptors

Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Wizards were without Gary Neal Saturday against the Toronto Raptors as the guard dealt with a groin strain.

Neal's minutes have varied in his first season in D.C., but he generally plays better the more floor time he sees. He is averaging 9.5 points on 43.8 percent 3-point shooting in a little more than 20 minutes per game.

The 31-year-old native of nearby Baltimore signed a one-year deal with Washington for a reported $2.1 million last summer.

The Wizards were shorthanded against the Raptors, also without Nene and Drew Gooden.
