Randolph misses 5th straight game with knee soreness

Derick E. Hingle-US PRESSWIRE

Memphis Grizzlies power forward Zach Randolph will not play Friday against the Atlanta Hawks.

Randolph is still nursing right knee soreness and will sit for the fifth consecutive contest. It's worth noting that the 34-year-old big man missed nine games at virtually the same point of the season last year with soreness in the same knee.

The Grizzlies have managed to go 3-1 without Randolph going into Friday, starting one of Matt Barnes or JaMychal Green based on matchups. Barnes got the call against the Hawks.
