Durant, George named NBA Players of the Week

Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Paul George of the Indiana Pacers have been named NBA Players of the Week.

This is the first time that both players have earned Player of the Week honors in 2015-16.

Kevin Durant was the catalyst for the Thunder's 3-0 week, posting per-game averages of 30.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 2.3 blocks. With an 11-4 record, Oklahoma City is currently one of the hottest teams in the NBA with a four-game winning streak.

The Pacers finished the week 3-0 as Paul George led the way with 37.3 points per game, 6.7 rebounds per game, 2.3 assists per game, and 1.3 steals per game during that span. Indiana currently sits second in the Eastern Conference at 11-5.

Nominees for the award included Kemba Walker of the Charlotte Hornets, Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Victor Oladipo of the Orlando Magic, DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry of the Toronto Raptors, Robert Covington of the Philadelphia 76ers, Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors, James Harden of the Houston Rockets, Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers, and Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers.
