Coach Rick Carlisle indicated earlier this week that McGee will be worked into the Mavs' frontcourt mix slowly, so with the team kicking off a back-to-back set Tuesday, it's not overly surprising that the big man was held out. He could have a shot at seeing some light minutes off the bench Wednesday against the Spurs, with Dwight Powell the most likely candidate to lose out on playing time in that scenario.
