Deng says he's trying to be smart with the hamstring injury, which has been bothering him for the last several days. After skipping Wednesday's morning shootaround, he'll take the night off in what will mark his first absence of the season. Gerald Green is expected to start in place of Deng, but the veteran forward and is hopeful that he'll be able to play Friday, when the Heat take on the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
