Hassan Whiteside: Expects to play

Whiteside (illness) went through shootaround and said afterward that he expects to play Wednesday in Detroit, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Whiteside came down with an illness Tuesday, but after making the trip north with the team, he said he's feeling much better Wednesday morning. He was a full participant in shootaround Wednesday, so the expectation is that he won't face any minutes restrictions against the Pistons.
