Evans (knee) went through practice Tuesday and said he's still hoping to play Wednesday against Phoenix, Jim Eichenhofer of Pelicans.com reports.

Analysis:

Evans put in a full practice for the second straight day, which would seem to bode well for his chances to make his season debut Wednesday. The Memphis product has been held out after undergoing a right knee procedure in mid-October, but he's said to be moving well of late while avoiding any pain or swelling in the knee. A decision on his status likely won't come until after shootaround Wednesday, so continue to consider Evans questionable until the team suggests otherwise.
