Nik Stauskas: Suffers left knee injury

Stauskas exited Monday's loss to the Heat with left knee pain and didn't return, Bob Cooney of the Philadelphia Daily News reports. He finished with two points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) in just 12 minutes of court time.

Analysis:

The 76ers replaced Stauskas with Isaiah Canaan at shooting guard in the second half, and Canaan would likely be asked to enter the starting lineup Wednesday against Boston if Stauskas is deemed unable to play. Stauskas should receive more clarity on that front after receiving the results of his MRI on Tuesday, which will give the 76ers a better indication of his health. Stauskas has been struggling mightily with his shot all season, hitting on just 33.1 percent of his attempts from the field. An injury that sidelines him for any length of time would be a crippling blow to his already dwindling fantasy value.
