Deng said he experienced renewed tightness with his hamstring in the second half of Monday's win over the Knicks, Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post reports. The Heat could hold Deng out of Wednesday's game against the Pistons as a result. "We're gonna evaluate the next game," Deng said.

Analysis:

Playing through the hamstring injury is likely just a matter of pain tolerance for Deng, but it may not make much sense for the forward to risk worsening the issue so early in the season. He'll likely continue to receive treatment for the next several days, and could be forced to sit out a few games along the way if the team determines it's in Deng's best interest to rest up. Even if Deng isn't forced to miss any time, it's probably worth avoiding him in daily formats over the next few games while he presumably remains less than 100 percent healthy.
