Martin is expected to enter the starting lineup at shooting guard for Monday's matchup with the Sixers, Jon Krawczynski of the Associated Press reports.

Analysis:

Coach Sam Mitchell is looking for a stronger scoring presence in his starting group, so he'll call on Martin to man the two-guard spot while Andrew Wiggins moves over to his more natural small forward position, with Tayshaun Prince heading to the bench. Martin is shooting a career-low 36 percent from the field and just 25 percent from the three-point line this season, but it looks as if he's still going to get a bunch of shots off now that he'll have the luxury of playing alongside the talented young nucleus of Wiggins, Ricky Rubio, and Karl-Anthony Towns. Even if his scoring and efficiency tick upward, Martin's modest contributions in other categories may limit his appeal to mid-sized or deeper leagues.
