Valanciunas (hand) is expected to miss roughly six weeks of action, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Analysis:

Valanciunas injured his left hand during Friday's game against the Lakers, with X-rays revealing a fracture that will require time off to heal properly. Fortunately, Valanciunas doesn't appear to require surgery on the hand, which likely would have lengthened his timetable and perhaps even ended his season. He's still expected to miss multiple weeks of action, nonetheless, which will require fantasy owners to make him a long-term stash, if not drop his outright. Bismack Biyombo will get the first crack at replacing Valanciunas in the starting lineup, but the Raptors are expected to go to a committee approach to make up for his absence. Biyombo, Lucas Nogueira, and Patrick Patterson all should see increased minutes.
