Kings' Gay leaves game vs. Heat with left shoulder strain

Jennifer Stewart-USA TODAY Sports

Sacramento Kings forward Rudy Gay left Thursday night's game against the Miami Heat during the third quarter with a left shoulder strain.

He did not return.

Gay still managed to finish the evening with his first double-double of the season, scoring 13 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in 24 minutes of action.

The 29-year-old forward underwent season-ending surgery in 2011 to repair a left shoulder subluxation while a member of the Memphis Grizzlies.

On the back of Dwyane Wade's game-high 24 points, the Heat held on for their fourth victory in five games, 116-109.
