Rudy Gay: Likely to return from illness Sunday

Gay (stomach flu) is expected to play Sunday against the Raptors, James Ham of CSN Bay Area reports.

Analysis:

Gay sat out Friday's win over the Nets after coming down ill, marking his first absence of the young season. It sounds as though he made some progress in his recovery Saturday, and if all goes well in pregame warmups, the expectation is that Gay will start and play his usual 30-plus minutes.
