The Los Angeles Clippers were without their best long-distance threat for the second half of their grudge match against the Dallas Mavericks.

Shooting guard J.J. Redick left late in the second quarter if the Clippers' 118-108 loss due to back spasms, and did not return.

Redick's enjoying yet another quietly excellent campaign in his third year with the Clippers. The 31-year-old Duke product is averaging 15.4 points per game while shooting 51.4 percent from the floor, 42.4 percent from deep, and 95.2 percent from the free-throw line.

He managed 10 points in 14 minutes before being replaced by Wesley Johnson.
