Manu Ginobili to miss next 2 games with hip tightness

The San Antonio Spurs said Wednesday that shooting guard Manu Ginobili will miss the next two games with bilateral tightness in his hip.

Ginobili sat out Saturday's game against the lowly Philadelphia 76ers with abductor tightness, but played Monday versus the Portland Trail Blazers. The two-game absence will keep him out Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets and Friday in New Orleans versus the Pelicans.

The 38-year-old is having another solid season for the Spurs, averaging 11.7 points in 20.6 minutes a game. His shooting stroke has been masterful so far, hitting 50 percent of his field-goal attempts and 40 percent of his treys.
