NBA admits Anthony traveled, stepped out of bounds on blown call vs. Raptors

The NBA's Last Two Minute Report confirmed Wednesday what fans and referee Ed Malloy realized on Tuesday: Carmelo Anthony should have been called for stepping out of bounds and traveling on a crucial late-game possession against the Toronto Raptors.

With the New York Knicks up 106-105 in Toronto with 22.8 seconds remaining, the Raptors appeared to trap Anthony on the sidelines, in front of the team's bench. He then stepped out of bounds, which should have resulted in a turnover and given the Raptors possession.

Instead, the officials failed to see Anthony's foot over the sideline or recognize that he took too many steps, and Kyle Lowry was forced to commit an intentional foul in an attempt to extend the game.

The Knicks went on to win the contest 111-109.
