Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden and Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond were named NBA Players of the Week for their respective conferences on Monday.

After the Rockets' 0-3 start to the season, Harden took it upon himself to right the ship. Since the team's three consecutive 20-point losses, the Rockets have gone 4-0 and Harden's scored a league-best 38.5 points per game.

Back-to-back 40-plus-point performances - 43 on Friday against the Sacramento Kings and 46 on Saturday against the Rockets' second-round playoff foe from a season ago - helped secure Player of the Week honors for "The Beard."

Meanwhile, Drummond posted ridiculous numbers as he led his squad to a 2-1 week. The 6-foot-11 center logged three double-doubles - two of which featured at least 25 points and 25 rebounds.

The Pistons' prized big man went off for 25 points and 29 board in a loss to the Indiana Pacers, and 29 points and 27 boards in a triumphant effort against the Portland Trail Blazers.

On the week, Drummond averaged 22 points and 24.3 rebounds.

Other nominees for the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week were Atlanta's Paul Millsap, Cleveland's LeBron James, Detroit's Reggie Jackson, Golden State's Stephen Curry, Indiana's Paul George, the Los Angeles Clippers' Blake Griffin, Orlando's Evan Fournier, Philadelphia's Jahlil Okafor, and Portland's Damian Lillard.
