Report: Heat's Gerald Green no longer hospitalized

Robert Mayer-USA TODAY Sports

Miami Heat shooting guard Gerald Green is no longer hospitalized after being admitted on Wednesday for undisclosed reasons, according to WPLG Local 10's Will Manso.

The Heat organization have yet to give an official update on Green's status, however head coach Erik Spoelstra did say during morning shootaround on Thursday that the 29-year-old was "safe and healthy."

Emergency personnel were reportedly called to Green's condo Wednesday morning because of a "male down."

He was also held out of Tuesday's game against the Atlanta Hawks due to an undisclosed illness. It's unknown at this time whether that played a part in Green being hospitalized the following day.

Green signed a one-year deal worth $1.4 million with the franchise over the offseason. He led the team in scoring during the preseason with 17.8 points per game, and is currently averaging 10.3 points off the bench in three appearances to begin the 2015-16 campaign.

Miami will play host to the 5-1 Toronto Raptors on Sunday.
