J.R. Smith expected to play Sunday vs. Pacers

Justin Ford / USA TODAY Sports

Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard J.R. Smith is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Indiana Pacers, according to head coach David Blatt.

The 30-year-old wing missed the team's last two games versus the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers with a right knee bruise and quad tendinitis.

Smith suffered the injury during the first of two early-season meetings between the Cavs and Sixers on Nov. 2.

The Cavs are already without point guard Kyrie Irving and fellow shooting guard Iman Shumpert, so Smith's return would be a welcomed sight for the injury-riddled squad.
