Atlanta Hawks wing Justin Holiday never saw it coming.
As the third-year guard received a lead pass from teammate Paul Millsap, he put his head down in preparation for a run-of-the-mill layup.
Unbeknownst to him, rangy Nets forward Thaddeus Young was lurking in the shadows.

The ball - possibly deflated a tad from Young's punishing swat - careened toward spectators seated in the front row.
