Nets' Jack ready to return following hamstring injury

Help is on the way for the Brooklyn Nets.

After sitting out their season opener with a sore hamstring, starting point guard Jarrett Jack says he feels "amazing" and is ready for Friday's tilt against the San Antonio Spurs.

Jack's return brings a measure of certainty back to the Nets, who sorely lacked for playmaking in their loss to the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday. Backup Shane Larkin chipped in with eight assists in a spot start, but the Nets frequently played lineups without a point guard in light of Jack's injury.

The 31-year-old averaged 12 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 4.7 assists last season.
