Deron Williams will not play in Thursday's game against the Clippers

Williams will not play in Thursday's game against the Clippers, Marc J. Spears of Yahoo reports.

Analysis:

Williams suffered a knee contusion during Wednesday's matchup with the Suns and had to leave the game without a return. He had an MRI on the knee Thursday, which came back negative, so it shouldn't be anything too serious. The Mavericks are likely just being extra cautious with their guard in holding him out Thursday and he should be considered questionable for Sunday's tilt with the Lakers. Look for Raymond Felton, J.J. Barea and Devin Harris to all see an increase in playing time while he's on the sideline.
