Afflalo was never a good bet to suit up for the game after he suggested himself that the left hamstring strain he sustained Oct. 22 could be something that keeps him out for two weeks, so the fact that he's been deemed unavailable is a mere formality. Coach Derek Fisher refused to speculate if Afflalo would be ready to play Thursday against the Hawks, but it appears quite unlikely that he'd be ready to go by that point, either. The Knicks will use Sasha Vujacic as their starting shooting guard in place of Afflalo.
